During the trip you will see the beauty of Kaunas Old Town, its architectural heritage and the city’s renewal. You will also have the opportunity to see the confluence of Lithuania’s largest rivers, the Nemunas and the Neris, sail into the Neris and admire the 13th-century Kaunas Castle and the “Soldier of Freedom” statue. During the cruise, you will be able to listen to an audio guide recording – you will learn interesting facts about the city of Kaunas. You will end your journey at the unique Gothic-style St. Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, where you started your journey.

Excursion in Raudondvaris, Fort IX. Upon arrival in Kaunas, you will be welcomed by a medievally dressed guide who will tell you about the trade and self-government privileges granted to the city by Duke Vytautas in 1408. The power of sand and amber. The Curonian Spit

Travel itinerary

French philosopher J.P. Sartre said: “I feel as if I were standing on the porch of paradise…”
Let’s take a day trip to the corner of paradise mentioned by the famous philosopher – the Curonian Spit National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000.

Nowhere else in Lithuania will you find a place where the smell of pine trees and the sea is so intense, where the wind, the sea and the tiniest grains of sand have created miracles over the centuries, even burying many of the villages that used to be here. Here, deep, unique traditions and masterpieces of art are born from a piece of amber.

We will visit a unique exposition of reed sculptures, sand sculptures, and the inhabitants of Witch Mountain. Grey herons and cormorants in Juodkrantė, Nida with its “Italian view” and “Uncle Tom’s hut”, Parnidis dune with its hourglass and old fishermen’s huts on the Curonian Lagoon coast. During the trip you will hear the most interesting stories of the Curonian Spit, surrounded by the giant Neringa.

We won’t miss the chance to enjoy the million-dollar spectacle of the largest dunes from the perspective of the Curonian Lagoon – you will be amazed by the majesty of the sand dunes. We will take part in a 1-hour sightseeing tour of the Curonian Lagoon, listening to the captain’s fascinating stories.

You will also meet a piece of amber, which you will use to create a lucky amulet. During the educational session at the Amber Museum-Gallery, you will learn a lot of interesting things about our Baltic gold, taste amber medicines and go home with a diploma after learning how to work amber.

Journey to CAPITAL. The Palace of the Grand Dukes and the Republic of Užupis.

Travel itinerary

We invite you to travel to Vilnius to visit the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania at the National Museum and find the answer to the question: did our rulers really live “long and happily”? On a themed tour, we will find out how our rulers courted and who they married. Did the future rulers wear white dresses at their weddings? Were marriage contracts drawn up? Why did brides sometimes have to ask messengers to inspect their future husbands at the bath? Why did cups break at the wedding of Alexander the Great and Princess Elena of Moscow in Vilnius Cathedral? Which ruler said she married the crown and not the king? On this tour, you will hear about the old traditions, feasts and fashions of high society marriages! A tour of the Palace of the Grand Dukes (restored historical interiors) will help you to create a picture of the period when the residence of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania in Vilnius was a centre of culture and art of European level.

After a visit to the Palace of the Grand Dukes, you will have the opportunity to wander around the garden of Bonn Sforza, visit the Cathedral, and climb to the top of Gediminas Tower.

After an organised lunch break, you will enjoy an unforgettable, fascinating and surprising excursion to another republic. Although these are turbulent times, you won’t have to isolate yourself in the Republic of Užupis (unless you want to).

Užupis is distinguished by its contrasts, its open-air arts, its support for freedom and independence not only from invaders or dictatorships, but also from its own limitations, primitiveness and stupidity, and has a natural “border” – the river – which allowed them to create their own separate republic more quickly. This republic has the only church in Vilnius where mass is celebrated in Belarusian, the old Bernardine cemetery and a very beautiful waterfront that leads down to the new district of Paupis. The Republic of Zaupis has its own president, parliament and constitution.

After your wanderings in Užupis, you will have free time for a coffee and a stroll through the streets of Vilnius Old Town.

In the evening, we will head home.
